LUMEN FESTIVAL OF VIDEO AND PERFORMANCE 2012
LUMEN 2012 will transform the raw waterfront property into a luminous playground, equipped with cargo containers that have been turned into video screening rooms, and specially formed salt sculptures that will be used as projection screens and installation pieces.
LUMEN 2012 will feature video installations, new media projections, animation, performance art, art interventions, and sound art.
The festival is entirely outdoors, with the majority of the projections happening directly on the surface of the raw, decrepit warehouses of Atlantic Salt,
Over 2,000 people attended LUMEN 2011, and more than 3,000 are expected to attend this year’s event.

ABOUT GRACE EXHIBITION SPACE for PERFORMANCE ART
Grace Exhibition Space, since 2006, is devoted exclusively to Performance Art. We offer an opportunity to experience visceral and challenging performance works by the current generation of international performance artists, whether emerging, mid career or established.
Being a Brooklyn loft, our events are presented on the floor, not on a stage, dissolving the boundary between artist and viewer. This is how performance art is meant to be experienced and our mission is the glorification of performance art.
